Improved Pass Line Betting in Craps

For those who may be interested, here are some very intelligent and well thought-out questions about Perry's Improved Pass Line Betting method that Perry recently received and answered:

Q: With very little craps playing experience, would the improved pass line betting technique be fairly easy to pick up?

A: Yes. It is very easy to pick up - even for someone who is new to craps.

Q: Would this be a good stand alone system to play, if I chose to ignore for now some of the others in "Winning at Craps" (At least until I gain more experience)?

A: Yes. Improved Pass Line Betting can be played alone - without contradictions to almost all other betting methods described in Winning At Craps.

Q: Is this your favorite method for your own personal play?

A: The Improved Pass Line Betting method is the ONLY one that I am presently using at craps. (If I were to play ALL of the betting methods in Winning At Craps, I would need a bankroll the size of Texas.)

Q: Has this system been back tested at all, and if so, for how many PLACED bets?

A: In the past 10 weeks (up to and including yesterday, Feb.22-07), Improved Pass Line Betting results have been: +602 -519 = +83 units = +53.70% out of 1,121 actually-placed bets. My 2001 to 2003 study of 40,000 Pass and Don't Pass results also indicates that Improved Pass Line Betting is indeed a reliable long-term performer, and NOT merely a coincidence that has only occurred during the past few months.

Q: Do you agree with the recent post by Voltaire that a 40 lifetime bank is sufficient? If so, I am seriously thinking of a 50-100 unit bet size.

(Here's a line from Page 2 of the Improved Pass Line Betting method that I should have included with the answer to this question.): "Always play at your own betting comfort-level. I recommend starting out with only $10 Pass line bets, and after reaching +15 units, ....then go to $15 bets, and perhaps later, to $25 bets. (Increase the size of your bets from your winnings, and not from your bankroll.)"

A: When I started Improved Pass Line Betting back in Dec.-06, I dedicated a lifetime security-bankroll of only 50 units. While I felt certain that I had a very good chance to come out ahead, I figured that if I somehow got beaten 10 times for maximum-losses of -5 units before showing any profit, then the most it could cost me was 50 units. (As it turned out, I never went into my bankroll at all. I was ahead right from the start, and any losses that came up were easily-replaced from previous profits.)

Q: Is the improved pass line betting method part of "Winning at Craps" now, or is it still a separated addendum upon request?

A: Although I will probably end up incorporating it into Winning at Craps, for now, it is still a separated addendum.
